About

Image Description: A photograph of Ali, a white woman smiling big, wearing big glasses, a pink hat, with brown curly hair, and holding a huge bouquet of pink/purple dahlias.

My name is Ali Rice and I am based in the Greater Boston area. I have been matchmaking as a side project for about three years and am thrilled to be making the transition to a more formal role. A bit about me and my identities: I am a white person working towards anti-racist practice. I am proudly Jewish and a matchmaker, but I am not a Jewish matchmaker – I welcome people of all faiths (and non-religious people), genders, backgrounds, races, sexualities, bodies, etc. to join my list.

I have always been interested in making connections, and matchmaking is one way I am living that out now. Some of the best dates I went on when I was dating were set-ups with people friends connected me to. I am deeply optimistic about the possibilities of love and connection. I feel that our interpersonal relationships can lead to healing and structures of support that can help us in our work for justice.
